ATS Ghost Fleet puts charted shipwrecks and obstructions in United States waters on a single map, drawn from NOAA's AWOIS database, the Automated Wreck and Obstruction Information System, over an ocean basemap whose bathymetry does the storytelling. Wrecks and obstructions are colored apart, and every filter runs as SQL against a dated snapshot bundled with the app: a depth-range slider that reconciles feet, meters and fathoms, and a text search that reads vessel names and the raw survey-history narratives together. A density toggle reveals where the seafloor is most crowded, and a notable-wrecks list surfaces named vessels with a recorded sinking year, each carrying its original survey logbook text.
