About ATS Impact Watch

ATS Impact Watch maps two records of the same phenomenon on one globe: the ground truth and the near misses. All 190 confirmed impact craters in the English Wikipedia list (CC BY-SA 4.0) are drawn as circles sized by rim diameter, from small hollows up to the largest structures on Earth. Sharing the map are 878 atmospheric fireballs reported by NASA's Center for Near Earth Object Studies, sized by impact energy. Each population has its own layer toggle, a minimum-size slider with a live match count, and a top-ten list that flies the map to each feature. Opening a feature gives crater ages as the database records them and fireball energies in familiar equivalents.
